I Need to Apologize to Each and Every One of You...
I let you down and for this, I am truly sorry.
I need to apologize to each and every one of you who have graciously given me your most valuable asset: your time and attention.
I haven’t been delivering on my mission for the past couple weeks.
I’m going to be brutally honest with you today. I feel run down. Exhausted. I’m treading water.
I’ve overextended myself professionally and mentally. I feel myself constantly being pulled in every direction. It seems like I never have enough time for all of the things and people that matter in my life, especially the most important ones: my family.
For the past two weeks, no High Value Dad newsletter has been sent out. I’m embarrassed by that.
Going through this struggle made me come to a realization: this is exactly why I wanted to create the High Value Dad community in the first place. I wanted to find like-minded men who understand the unique struggle of the present yet business-minded dad.
I also wanted to show men we don’t have to be lone wolves trying to take over the world all alone.
High Value Dad Retreat 2023 - Breckenridge, CO
Yet here I am drowning, but refusing to ask for help.
So, rather than bitch and moan, I decided to take some proactive steps to put myself in a position to grow High Value Dad into the community I set out to create. If you are in a similar place where you need some realignment, I hope this helps.
Step 1. Accept that I can’t do this alone.
I am actively searching for good content partners, sponsors, and contributors to grow High Value Dad’s content offerings during this growth phase.
There are plans for a podcast, original video, courses, and even products. That means I am going to need a talented team. There’s no way around that.
If you’re interested in getting involved, shoot me an email at [email protected].
Step 2. Walk away from professional commitments that do not get me closer to my ultimate goal.
There are only so many hours in a day. I am overbooked. It’s time to clear some of my bandwidth so I can put more focused time into growing High Value Dad.
These steps are already in the works, including selling my equity in another venture. HVD is my top priority.
Step 3. Reinvest into High Value Dad
2024 is going to the year that defines this community. I am going to reinvest every cent earned through sponsorships, events, or content back into the brand.
This was never about money. This is about legacy. I still believe with every fiber of my being that a new generation of strong and present fathers will change the world. You are going to be part of that.
Thank you for your support. It means more to me than you’ll ever know.
There are very big things in store for High Value Dad in 2024. Let’s get to work.
God bless every one of you,
Jason Howerton
